Together with six partners, RAACH SOLAR developped, delivered, installed and commissioned a solar powered water desalination plant in Morocco, funded by the EU-Prima initiative. The water desalination plant uses traditional reverse osmosis technology and as well highly inovative deionisation technology to desalinate water in desert environments.

SmaCuMed is the abbreviation of “Smart irrigation cube for sustainable agriculture in the Mediterranean region” and is a joint research project from the European Union’s EU-Prima initiative focused on the development and application of solutions for food systems and water resources in the Mediterranean basin.

The project will be accompanied by universities from Morocco, Tunisia and Germany.
